Fire incident in kitchen of recent has been a major concern to safety professionals and also to the general public due to sharp increases, but this issue has also been addressed by various Health and safety professional and how it should be mitigated, but today we will be discussing today some major cause of kitchen fire and how it can be prevented.

Lots of lives and property has been lost as a result of the fire in a kitchen. This article is aimed at addressing the causes and also proffers solution to some of the recurring fire incident in kitchens

Some of the major causes of fire in kitchen

1.     Carelessness:  some kitchen users have been more careless in handling kitchen environment, therefore, resulting in loss of life and properties.

2.     Absent-mindedness: this  is one critical causes of fire incident in kitchen from my investigate of fire incident in kitchen I have found out some kitchen users are absent minded most time, let take for instance , Mr A cooking in kitchen for about some minute Mr. B rang the bell , Mr A open the door and welcome in Mr B who is a good friend who he has not see for a very long time they hug and started discussion forgetting that cooking was actually taking place which resulted in firing outbreak from the kitchen  . What has happened is that Mr A has forgotten that before Mr B walk in he was actually cooking. From the above scenario, we have found that the fire incident was caused by absent minded of Mr A

Mitigation for kitchen fire outbreaks

A.    Kitchen users should put all kitchen appliances off before engaging in long discussion

B.     Kitchen user should try to be around the kitchen when cooking

C.     Cooking should be done when we have the chance to monitor our cooking to avoid fire outbreaks
